Deliberate Solos is a networking group for solo practitioner lawyers and the freelance professionals who assist them (co-founded by Zara Watkins and Dana Heitz).

  • Solo practitioner lawyers and the small business professionals who work with us.

    1. Authentic networking, getting to know each other and building relationships in a conducive environment (not in a bar).

    2. Business development incubator—because who learned how to run a business in law school?

    3. Pop-up law firm where we share our questions and ideas in order to tap the collective wisdom of working together—something solo practitioners often miss out on. 

  • Monthly meetings are held in person in Manhattan on the 3rd Wednesday of each month, 6–7 p.m.

    We also host a casual Coffee Break on Zoom on the 1st Wednesday of each month, 10 a.m.
